The Plantation Tropical spectacular - The "Plantation" theatre invites you to the best dinner show in the Caribbean! A magnificent evening's entertainment, with sensational costumes, dance and music. Depicting the colourful Market Scenes, Celebrations and Carnivals that are part of the mixed cultures of the Caribbean people. Your palate is also tempted by the sumptuous bajan buffet and free drinks flow all night. Open Wednesdays and Fridays only.

CROP OVER - The Barbados National festival begins early July and ends with the costume band road march on the first Monday of August, offering a whole month of cultural, historical, musical events and art and craft exhibits. This colourful celebration is also one of the oldest festivals of the western world, dating back to the 1800 when plantation workers celebrated the end of the sugar cane crop.

DE MALIBU CARIBBEAN CONGALINE - This vibrant festival provides daily exhibition forum and a market place for artcrafts, culture and entertainment. De Congaline reaches its crescendo with a street carnival, with a huge Congaline which winds its way from Independence Square (Bridgetown) to Dover Playing Field, dancing to the pulsating sounds of all the latest party music.

GOSPELFEST - The last week end in May will see major Gospel talent from the USA, UK and the Caribbean converging on Barbados for a festival of Gospel.

THE BARBADOS JAZZ FESTIVAL - Each January this Festival brings together some of the world's best jazz talent and local talent. One of the highlights is the daytime open-air concert at Farley Hill park, where people take food and blankets to watch the show.

THE HOLETOWN FESTIVAL - On February the 17th 1627 the first European Settlers arrived at the site of present day Holetown. To celebrate this historic event the Holetown Festival features church services, music and dancing, a street fair and market, parades and organized sports. Lots of Bajan food, local art and craft.

THE OISTINS FISH FESTIVAL - Oistins is the main fishing town in Barbados. Each Easter this festival recognises the efforts of people in the fishing industry. As well as streets fairs, singing and dancing and exhibitions of local art, the people of the industry are given a chance to exhibit the skills of their trade.
