The best way to visit the island is by renting a car. As our guest, we can suggest to you our trusted "rent-a-car", which offers mini-mokes, cars, jeeps and minivans; they also offer home and airport deliveries, 7 days a week, including festivities; fast and professional assistance.

The closest bus stop to Silver Sands beach is 5 minutes walk. The minivan number 11 will take you from Silver Sands area to Bridgetown, with stops along the south coast. Minivans run from 5:00 am to 12:00 pm every minute or less; the price is Bds 1,50 per person.

 

PERSONALIZED ISLAND TOUR

If you decided not to rent a car, but you still would like to visit the island, we can organize for you a personalized tour with minivan or private car, driver and tour guide. In this way you can enjoy the beauty of Barbados in absolute relax, inventing your itinerary just for you!

CATAMARAN CRUISES

The best way to enjoy the west coast beaches, sea, snorkeling and panorama is by cruise. We organize a five hour lunch cruise,  serving a delicious bajan lunch, on a small catamaran (12 people the most) that will take you on a visit to the underwater marine park, where you will see thousands of colorful fish swimming over coral reefs and a old shipwreck. The second stop is a tranquil bay where you can swim and see turtles feeding in their natural habitat. Free drinks, snorkeling gear and transportation included in the price, USD 70 per person.

 

OISTINS FISH MARKET

       

Very traditional, the fish taste great and the prices are very reasonable. Most of the stands cook fry fish; if you would like to try grilled fish, go to the “Fishnet – uncle George” (open from Wednesday to Sunday). Fridays and Saturdays are very busy with music and a lot of people. Average price: BDS 15/20. To try also the famous “fish-cakes”, by the stand “Legendary fish cakes”; price BDS 0.50 each.

 

MIKE'S RESTAURANT (CORAL HOUSE)

A casual bar/restaurant with a nice atmosphere located a few steps away from the sea and Silver Sands. Happy hours at the bar from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Closed on Sundays. Menus and prices for the restaurant are available at the bar.

 

CHICKEN RITA

A true “rum shop” (typical of Barbados) where you can taste the best home made fried chicken of the island, among domino’s players and calypso music. Average price: BDS 25.

 

SUPERMARKETS

Supermarkets are open every day of the week. The Super Center supermarket in Oistins is open from Monday to Thursday from 8:00 am to 8:00 pm (non stop); Fridays and Saturdays to 9:00 pm; Sundays to 5:00 pm. Silver Sands minimarket is open daily from 9:00 am to 12:00 am and from 1:00 pm to 4:00 pm. Sundays open from 9:00 am to 12:00 am.
